Valuables

SHHA would like to remind patients and visitors, that personal items which a patient brings to the hospital at the time of admission, or throughout their stay with us, are the responsibility of immediate family, or the patient's Substitute Decision Maker (SDM).

It is not the responsibility of SHHA to care for a patient's personal belongings.  We recommend that all valuables be sent home upon admission.  Valuables include jewellery, credit cards, large sums of money, etc.

SHHA will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.
