SHHA endeavors to maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, patients and visitors.
The following highlights some of the security measures in place:
Patient Identification
Patients will have an identification bracelet placed on their wrist when they are admitted. This bracelet must be worn at all times so that positive identification can be made by staff.
Staff Identification
All staff working at SHHA will be clearly identified wearing a SHHA photo identification badge.
Property Security
Restricted Door Access – All external doors (other than the main entrance doors off Huron Street) are locked down 24/7.
Video Surveillance – Entrances are under 24/7 recorded video surveillance.
